A crown of peaks in Aberdares...

Twelve Apostles is a series of twelve dramatic, rocky peaks near Mount Kinangop. Different from many Aberdare treks, Twelve Apostles holds no marked path; therefore, it involves many bushwhacking through dense forest, making it extremely challenging.

The trail starts at Njabini Forest Station and goes to Elephant Hill summit, then a steep descent to Kinangop Valley. After walking for 4km in the valley, turn right to steep descents and ascents to 12 Apostles Peak. The summit involves scrambling on the rocky trail to reach the highest point. This is an extremely challenging hike, even for experienced and fit hikers.
