What A Crater!

Mount Longonot, located 60 km from Nairobi, is a popular hiking destination for kids, beginners, and experienced hikers. The 3.1km trail starts at the gate with a gentle trek before a steep climb to the rim. One can choose to descend or hike around the loop. For the more adventurous, a 7.2km loop encircles the crater, typically taking 2-3 hours. Experienced hikers can do the loop twice to make the hike more challenging.
