What is this Summit!
Towering at 3906m above sea level, Mount Kinangop is the
second-highest peak in the Aberdares range, offering
unmatched mountain scenery worth every burn. The 14km
trail commences at Mutarakwa Forest Station. It goes
through pine and cedar trees to dense bamboo forest, past
windswept moorlands, and enjoy views of surrounding peaks
to get to the summit. The summit involves tackling steep
and rocky sections. The Mt Kinangop hike is challenging
and perfect for experienced and fit hikers only.
