The bamboo! The Desperado! The tail!

Over the years, Elephant Hill has been described as the “ultimate hiking destination.” The hike is an excellent prep for beginners and experienced hikers who want to tackle more enormous peaks and higher altitudes. The trail starts at Njabini Forest station with an initial stretch of 3 km to the starting point, between the forest. Afterwards is the bamboo section for 1.5km, which is slippery, muddy, and dim and tests your perseverance and balance. The point of despair is the challenging part of the trail, with rocky terrain to get to the moorland and a steep summit.
