Castle Forest and Kamweti Falls is located within Mount Kenya Forest in Kamweti, Kirinyaga County. The hike offers a delightful combination of nature’s beauty and refreshing escape, perfect for kids, beginners, and experienced hikers. The hike starts at the Castle Forest Lodge, through the beautiful Kamweti forest, across a river on rustic wooden bridges. The trail takes a thrilling turn to a narrow path. It descends steeply into the river towards the magnificent Kamweti Falls, plunging approximately 70 meters into the pool. For the adventurous souls, dip in the swimming holes near the base of the falls.
